Hi Hendrik,
I do not really know much about MACK trucks in the rest of Europe, but here in Spain lots of companies used MACK DM600 and DM800 6x4 trucks both as fifth-wheel tractors and ballast trucks. On the link of my previous post you can see a DM600 from Alfredo Cordero. This company owns 3 units like this one. Also Izquierdo owns 10 units of DM800 (I've read that on a magazine from 1996). Arbegui owns a DM600 (I am not sure of that). Hipertrans has 1 unit of DM800. Poncal from Madrid owned 1 unit of DM800 (now for sale). Celes Internacional was a company based in Bilbao that closed years ago, but they also owned a DM800. I am sure there are much more Mack DM-series trucks working in Spain... and in the rest of Europe.

Very interesting is the offset cab on the DM800. How much was the width of these trucks?? Looking carefully to the Celes' DM800 I dare say that it was 2,75m or even wider. The offset cab is still used nowadays in Mack DM600 models although they are 2.400mm wide.
