000 — Direktlink 30.07.2024, 18:53 Uhr Coyle Having designed and made a 1:50 scale Wind Turbine it is now time to make a diorama for it to live. Thankfully since moving the dioramas and 3D printers have moved from a bedroom into a large workshop out in the shed. Being Irish and most of our wind turbine farms located on the bog lands this will be the theme for the diorama. Due to the height of the ceiling ill have to re design the height of the tower sections and the length of the blades if the turbine is to be fully complete on the diorama. 001 — Direktlink 02.08.2024, 14:23 Uhr Coyle Update 1 As you can see from the first picture the size difference from my old diorama to the new one under construction. Aeroboards were purchased from the local hardware store and shaped to the layout of the diorama table. now the fun begins, drawing out the different areas like roads, bog lands and the gravel foundations. 002 — Direktlink 08.08.2024, 13:34 Uhr Coyle Update 2 Now that the Aeroboard is in place it is time to add in the main road that will go along the border of the diorama. Also using some of our models to help sketch out the site entrance so its wide enough for the longer loads that will feature later on in this post. 005 — Direktlink 19.08.2024, 12:37 Uhr Coyle Update 3 The bog land has been added to the diorama. Grass and hedge rows have been ordered to give the diorama a bit more character and pop. For anyone wondering the acrylic we use is from AK interactive. Terrain texture and they have plenty of options to choose from. Next to do on the diorama is fill in the gravel section. We have started working on the gravel section of the diorama, sadly 1 tub of acrylic paste wasnt enough so i have had to order more. Scenic accessories have also been ordered so that will be the next step once the gravel area is completed. 009 — Direktlink 12.09.2024, 18:02 Uhr Coyle Update 6 The gravel area of the diorama is now complete and needed an additional 3 tubs of acrylic paste to complete the area. A staging area for the Turbine Blades has also been added. Next addition to the diorama will be adding grass bushes and trees.
