Hello to all,

I would like to know what company in the UK owns the biggest cranes? And what happend with the big cranes of Baldwins ( LR 1800, CC4800, 2 x LTMG 1800, 4-5 x LTM 1500 and AK 912...) after their break down?

Thanks for your answers.

Greetings
Fabian

Hi

Ainscough have the biggest fleet with over 500 cranes. They bought the remains of Baldwins and sold off a lot of the fleet. The 2 LTM11000D's:1 was kept by Ainscough and repainted in Ainscough yellow, the other was sold to Sarens and still is in Baldwins white and blue! The LTM1500's were kept by Ainscough and are slowly being repainted when time permits. The AK912 was sold to ALE and moved back to UAE/Dubai where Al Jaber are based. The CC4800 and the Rosenkranz were sold to Sindorf trading in the Netherlands before Baldwins went bankrupt, and both are for sale now.I think Sarens bought the other crawlers (raupenkrans in Deutsch!).

As to the biggest cranes, according to Cranes and Access it is Ainscoughs LTM11000D,2nd place is McNallys Demag TC3300 and 3rd is JD Cranes Demag AC800.The whole list can be seen/downloaded from http://www.vertikal.net

CU,

SebastianHi Sebastian

It was built like that, cheaper to use MAN cabs rather than the well known Gottwald lowline cab.The AMK210-103 was also fitted with the MAN cab.A few other Gottwalds had it also.Im sure BUZ would know more! The Baldwins AK912TR is the ex Toense 1

Ed

almost there..

at the time of collapse they were down to one LTM11000, the sarens machine was sold about 1 1/2 years before the collapse

Sindorf also acquired the TC4000 when they got the rozenkranz

The ALE AK912 is based at stafford for the northern europe market, AL jaber were working with interlift who also ran an AMK500 but as they have at least one CC8800 and are supposed to be ordering another with the equipment to combine the two cranes

Can anyone advise on the history of Demag TC4000 cranes. I understand three were manufactured with two in the UK and one in America. I think the American machine did not have the superlift equipment. Can anyone confirm?
