000 — Direktlink 09.12.2010, 09:00 Uhr SaminCZ Hello, my previous diorama is finished, so I start a new one. The entire idea is simple: two LT 1100 lifting in tandem some hydraulis press (machinery). Better than having two black cranes together from "bulding diorama" purposes. 003 — Direktlink 30.01.2011, 19:59 Uhr SaminCZ Update: narrow gauge loco scratched from plastic sheet (no finished on the photo) and I´m about to start making a base for the whole scenery, so this is a maschup of all components beeing positioned to the best look. I have visited a closed/abandoned factory where one of the erfurt presses (the 1000ton one) still wait for a byuer..... I took there many photos and I added some details to my small one 1/87 press according to the photos... BUT....have a problem...Do you someone know in which years the LT 1120 was produced? I want to add some historical accesories but before I will do it I need to know in what decade I have to focus for it...(Adding an old forklift...etc.) It is possible to backdate this diorama to the early 1990´? 015 — Direktlink 27.09.2011, 08:28 Uhr SaminCZ It´s time to move on, press is now out of production line and I work on other stuff. Very important (may the most..) thing in diorama´s are figures...I have 3 sets of preiser ones, but without some care, they are unacceptable. So first get off the paint, next sand the moulding seams and finally make new fabric folds by scratching with the scalpel. At the end the total amount of 15 figures will be present in dio. Next is the forklif from wiking, also with some changes to make it more "old" because the dio is from early 90´ but forklift is too modern... And finally the base shell...Now it is not the mass of the styrofoam and other materials...The floor is made and damaged to look like a used one. And the base of the wall is also made, from 3mm plastic card and some evergreen profiles. This time only pictures, but if requested..I can try to translate fro czech to english. Pegaso: ok here is the translation You need a firelock wheel from lighter (it has a tread which will be copied to the tire), some axle on which the wheel can rotate and some device to hold the axle...I use drill chuck from old small drill. The tire from kit is fixtured to the shank and Proxxon drill (the shank is the proxxon one that come with the metal cutting blades - it has a screw) The trick is that firelock wheel is from relatively hard metal, and the tire is plastic. vbggggg So with very low rotation speed of the drill, you push the hand drill chuck with the firelock wheel to the rotating tire (!co-axially!) and you will shape the tire with the firelock wheel tread.
