Yes the model arrived. Not very good white, not the correct typography, not exactly.... but the Manitowoc Aguado crane.
Best regards Alberto Quijano

thanks but in this crane you only need to have the money, I became to make some modifications. For example I put the auxiliar jib with the small hook in the main boom who is not prepared. I´m finishing the first movement for this crane with the Maxer-atachment as the real crane and the Ac700 Aguado scratchbuilted. I dedicate this photo for you best regards
Alberto Quijano
(by the way I put the same post in DHS and the people answered in diferent way than the people in hansebubeforum... except you)

is Aguado happy with the real Manitowoc 18000 and the way it works? -- Gruß aus dem Schwarzwald Christian ------------------------------- Dieser Post wurde am 08.03.2007 um 09:36 Uhr von Christian editiert. |

when I enyoy with something I usually saids and give the thanks for post the photos. I would like even in give the thanks in german lenguaje but I need a bit more time, only (danke schön)
Respect the Aguado crane I´m sure he is happy with the Manitowoc 18000 and I´m happy too because I´m working for this company now. The crane its in a Off-Shore proyect for a long time with the Max-er atachment. I love the LR1750 crane and even more the CC5800 but I´m sure the Manitowoc 18000 its a really good crane. Respect equipment mybe better the LR1750 but in load chart the Manitowoc its very complete. One problem its the Manitowoc always works with derrick boom conected not prepared to work with the main boom only. Then you always need to offer in works for minimun a 600 ton class. In all the proyects I offer this year in Spain I could make with a large range load chart over. Respect the price Manitowoc complete its cheaper than LR1750 around 1.200.000 euros less... and the second hand market loves the american products as Manitowocs now in Spain there are only one Manitowoc 18000 crane the other was sold very quick. Receive my best regards
Alberto Quijano

Sure.
Besides, I'm still wondering what's wrong with the font used for printing the model. It looks quite right to me, compared with your pictures of the real machine.

Hello Sebastian,
The font used in the telephone number in the real machine its the german futura extra bold and the model use the normal futura (you can compare the pics)

congratulation on your new job. what do you do for a profession?
Zitat: | By the way... did you enyoy with the pics? |
i certainly did! pics of those manitowocs are rare enough, let alone spanish cranes in general. at least now we can look forward to some first-hand Aguado stuff. without wanting to ask too much, but pics of the 18000 in transport on some Aguado trucks would be a dream... -- Gruß aus dem Schwarzwald Christian ------------------------------- |

sounds good!
for me much work and a lot of travelling all over europe (i sit in Austria right now writing this) so model building is slowing down a little bit...
but i have a few things going on anyway... your LTM1800 won´t stay the only custom painted one for long... -- Gruß aus dem Schwarzwald Christian ------------------------------- |

I thought this is the model board ¿? ¿?
anyway: Example:
Liebherr LR1750 SDB/BW 42 m main boom:full
radius: 8m = 731 tons radius: 10m= 674 tons radius: 18m= 496 tons radius: 24m= 391 tons radius: 36m= 212 tons
Manitowoc 18000 derrick + Max-ER 42 m main boom: full
radius: 8m = 750 tons radius: 10m= 750 tons radius: 18m= 502 tons radius: 24m= 373 tons radius: 36m= 233 tons
then you can see one interesting thing: the main boom in Manitowoc is stronger than LR but when the boom its going down then weights too much, LR´s main boom is lighter. What is better? depends on the work you are going to do......

many thanks Thomas. I´ll make a picture for you. The way its configurated the hook is crossed as american way. you can use the hook with only one "malacate" (drum) and you begin from the midle and finish in the midle. You´ll can see even the coupling sistem to the small hook not prepaired by TWH.
best regards for you Alberto Quijano |
