AFAIK is there no hard evidence to support a new LG-crane.
From my own personal view (I think I have mentioned it before) I cannot really see why Liebherr develop the new LTM11200-9.1, when they had the LG1550/LTM1800 which has proven very successful. If the LTM11200-9.1 could travel with the boom it would make more sence, but I cannot really see, where the big difference to the LTM1800 is (apart from the boom length).
If I was “Mr. Liebherr”, I would have upgraded the carrier with new cab, perhaps added all-wheel steering and an upgraded engine. The superstructure I would take from the LR1600/2. The boom systems would consist of the lattice-boom from the LR1600/2 and a new telescopic boom with one or two more sections and a new profile giving it a total length of around 100 meters. TY and derrick as an option.
I have written about it on my website, but I would like to stress, that AFAIK are there no evidence which supports a new LG-crane. -- Grüße / Greetings
